cruise control
does anyone have an idea why my cruise control doesnt work? ive checked the fuse and the briefly checked the wiring but cant figure it out.... anyone able to shed some light on this problem?
The easiest thing to check besides the fuse is the brake light switch. Make sure your brake lights aren't on when your foot's not on the pedal. If they are, that switch will keep your cruise from engaging.
01 quadcab....havent had any brake work done , and slickbrave...the brake lights go off when i let off the pedal...but i appreciate y'alls input...if theres anymore suggestions...im all ears... i just did a 2000 mile road trip without cruise and it sucked! will be making another trip in 2 weeks and would love to have it! thanks
sounds like a trip to the stealership. On GM's the multiswitch went out often, but on the Dodge, it could get down to the module. It may be worth paying them for a diagnosis to rule out anything easy, and if you have to, here's one on ebay: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/2002-...%3A1|72%3A1171

Check under driver side battery for broken vacuum line. Seem to be the spot to check. that can affect the vent doors in the climate system too. Thats where I found my problem at under battery.
Good luck,

02's are electronic cruise.
My 01 don't work either,but that's cause I've got a 2000 engine in it,thought about changing the wiring all around...I just do without,since I ain't sure it will work...

Will it turn on or is it not engaging? If it is not turning on it could be the switch. I have a short in my steering wheel column, it will not turn on all the time, try taking the steering wheel and adjusting it up and down. Then see if it will turn on.
