How's it going fellas. Im gonna replace my dash and dont want to do the overlay dash crap, so im gonna replace the entire dash with a factory. Anyone done this kind of fix before. wondering what all has to come off, out? thanks

 

The cover piece comes off easy. Just YANK on your dash surround (goes around radio, gauges and so on) and youll see the screws that hold on the cover. There are also a few right at the window base... Good luck finding a new one. Even if you do it will probably explode on you VERY soon after. Its a major problem with 2nd gen Rams. The covers that Genos Garage and LMC truck sells are AWESOME! Look just like factory. Highly recommended! Plus they are warrantied!

 

Put a new one in mine 3 years ago, Took about 2.5 to3.0 hours. Started to crack again, I kept it out of the sun, carpet cover,I just put a cover on it . F@c* It . How much are the dashs going for now?bougth mine for 899.00 ?

ive heard that the overlays eve at genos dont look like factory, like they are cut to short in some place or something. believe me, i would rather put the plastic overlay on if i know it looks good

 

They seen me coming huhI priced it back then and it was a hot item I guess,the screwes to me I guess I got mine at a discount momn to me!

 

theres a company in arizona that sells new replacments and garranties they wont crack and fall apart,i'll find the info and post it.

yeah me too, my cover wont stay down anymore, the dash under is too far gone

 

There is a vendor on E-bay that now sells the whole dash.
