A month ago while I was driving along low fuel indicator went still had half a tank filled the tank ran down to about a fourth of a tank it worked again then quit 5 miles down the road two days ago while towing a car trailer coming down grade I lost fire now all i get is cranking no fire

no fire on diesels like a gas heat of compression fires fuel sure you have fuel to the motor

Fill the tank up with diesel fuel , lossen the lines going to the first injector and crank it until fuel comes out then repeat , then it will fire

there is about 20 gallons in the tank not sure if there fuel at the engine

lossen an injector line and crank it and see if fuel comes out

How much fuel in filter housing? Is lift pump pumping?

Any other Cylinders have fuel. When my vp died I had fuel at 2 of 6 cylinders

I had the same problem once. I had left the water drain partially open. Just a thought.
