I can't afford the amsoil right now. I know it will save me money in the long run, but I've got a budget this time. I think I'm going to go with the Valvoline Premium Blue. Don't know if I'll go regular or synthetic. Anyone here anything bad reviews or anything about this oil? I figure I can't go too wrong being endorsed by cummins.

Just price it out. Not sure if the valv is also low e formulated or not. but most of the low e stuff out there is not so good. we all understand budgets but if you can swing amsoil it will save you 30 or so a year at 3 oil changes with reg oil to 1 with amsoil.

I run the 5w/40 shell rotela synthetic. 2 1/2 gallons and 2 quarts stp for the zinc. Was advised to use the stp for the zinc by Industrial injection when I put in A new cam.
