Default Clicking Sound

i just started noticing a louder clicking sound that occurs every 7 seconds. i notice it when the pickup is idling. the motor will go up and down in the idle like it always has, and when the ilde slows , i hear the click, and when i increases i hear the click. im guessing it has something to do with the fan but im not sure, i didnt know if anyone has had this before or if anyone knows how to get rid of it. thanks for the help guys

Does it change if you have the A/C on?

Try turning your heater control to off and see if it goes away. the ac compressor also runs on heat not just a/c.

ya, it keeps goin with the ac on or off, the heater is off, the vents are off, it till does the same. but i noticed later today, after i ran to town and back i pulled in the drive way, it didnt do it, but the motor didnt do its up and down thing. like the fan is just runnin or something. so when the motor is cool, it does it more frequently then when its warm.

Just a thought, does it do it after you drive the truck or before you drive ? if its before it might be the intake air heaters kicking in.
