Where is a good place to get a starter rebuild kit. Mine has been acting funny the last couple days. Sometimes it fires right off and sometimes it just clicks. Might not have to many starts left in it Sure would be terrible to get to the lake this weekend and not be able get it started to come home The rebuild kits are just the contacts and plunger correct?

I just did all mine. All the parts to change out while your in there are the contacts, brushes and plunger.

If you use yje link below it takes to the super sized contacts that work great. LarryB's Dodge starting problems solved here.

 

brushes too I guess I really didn't think about the brushes

 

I change the contacts and put it all back together and within a few weeks it wouldn't start again. Pulled the starter again and the brushes were bad, would a been so much easier doin it all at once.
