hooking trucks in a tug a truck has less to do with power, traction,hook height and weight are bigger factors.

 

I've seen plenty of guys in diesels get owned by 3/4 ton gassers hooked up like that, the gasser has instant power right off idle, your diesel don't. Turbo lag sucks huh...

 

The way I saw it the diesel drug him back at least one truck length before he got drug backwards. Not sure what you guys saw, but in my book the diesel won that one, it was already over before the gasser started.

Well..I might be ignorant,but would it not be best to just put it in 4 Low and 1st and pull that way?
I can't imagine that a V-10 hooked at the same height would out pull my Cummins.
And if it did I'd ask for a re-match pulling a 20k trailer up a 6% grade.

 

if you guys put it in slow motion, youll see the tires on the cummins stopped turning a and the truck come up a little a second before the gasser dude punched it, basiclly it looks like the cummins dude let off thinking he'd won and then the gasser nailed it, then you start seeing the tires lightup but by that time he was already being drug backwards. again, dumb thing to do with an expensive truck no matter what, ive done it back in highschool with my old 98 and tore **** up, i wouldnt reccomend it.
