Default air. fuel or what?

alright i have a 02 and i have been noticing a huge difference in power(loss)...i had this problem like this a few weeks back, i cleaned out my air filter and it was just fine up until about 5 days ago...its like my turbo isnt building any boost but its spooling just fine....i blew my air filter out with an air gun and it didnt help it....my air filter has a black tint to it when its suppose to be purple, wonder if you guys think i should just buy a replacement filter and hopefully that will work or look else where? could my boost elbow be playing any part in this?

You said that theres a black tint to it now.I would look into where the black tint is coming from. You may have a bad seal in your turbo.

couple things to think about

Oil seals going bad in the turbo could cause this. Might not hurt to pull off your turbo to IC pipe and make sure it isn't full of oi.

Might have an exhaust leak that is getting soot on your Air Filter.

Honestly if it is loosing power but not smoking then I would look towards fuel. Gett a fuel pressure tester and check your fuel pressure. you may have a lift pump going out.

Guages come in real handy when your troubleshooting.
