i have a 2000 dodge and i drove it for a year thinking that i needed a new vp44 but it turned out to be the pressure boost sensor which works with the vp44 and tells it how much fuel to inject. my truck had no power and it took forever to get up to speed and when i went up a hill it could not maintain the speed so a small hill would be like climbing a mountain so anyone with symptoms like this i would check this sensor before you spring for a $1200 mistake.
