Before I did all that I would go back and pull shifter and make sure all shift detents are lined up right and restab shifter. My thought is it wroked before you pulled shifter.The only thing in there is detents,maybe 5th and rev. run on same detent rod.

the cost on the whole affair $ 1000. clms. al that was included. main shaft 5th gear reerse gear bearings and nut. top cover as i broke mine from over tighting it. no one told me not to torque out fawk sakes. and a new rear cover the old one was wore out. due to lose bolts on cross member, the holes were about 3/4 inch bit from being loose for a long time.. lesson go under neath and inspect your wheel sonce in a while. whould have costed about$650 - $700 PARTS AND LABOUR. my real cost $500 for mainhaft $100 top shift cover used 1, $100 rear cover $300 labour
