Default Lift Pump Question

Hello, not been signed up long but alot of great info. I have a 98, 24 valve, ton, ex cab, 4x4, that I just bought. Just put new tranny, clutch etc; Michelin tires, slave cylynder, and upper and lower ball joints. My question is that the truck has what I call a hick-up going down the road some times. I adjusted and reset the apps and then I got thinking the lift pump? Would this be the couse? I loosened the line going to the injector pump and bumped the key but fuel did not come out like I would have thought it would. Shouldnt fuel fly out? Next step is guage. Do you think this is my trouble????? Thanks Marvin

I'd change the fuel filter and see if that makes a difference.
Way cheaper than a lift pump too.

The most important item for those (like you) with the VP44 injection pump is a fuel pressure gauge.
Also, you are posting in the "introductions" page. Scroll down to the 24 valve section for more help.
By the way

The fuel will never spray out the lines.......it will only weep at best

even with my FASS I can still only get a weep outa the cracked injector lines when I am re priming
