well hmm..you guys got a good point. im get'n an automatic.. eh im 18 so i guess for NOW ill get the chip exhaust and intake and gauges...ad in a year or two get the smarty and start workin on the rest a little at a time..i ahve plenty of time t get this done.especially if i treat the truck right

 

I had a friend who put a 65hp superchip on his stock auto and that alone shattered his tranny. From what I've seen and heard the 47RE transmissions are pretty fragile. Treating it right will buy you time but it'll be tough to keep your foot out of it with a Juice or Adrenaline on it Also buying a BHAF will save you alot of money on an intake. Everyone has their opinions on a BHAF vs a Airaid or AFE but I like mine.

 

shot you can blow up a 47RE while stock. if you do get a chip, get a deep sump tranny pan and a trans temp guage and keep the fluid fresh as possible. the BHAF is okay, the problem is that it only replaces the factory filter, you're still stuck with the junk factory air tube
