ive got a 1693 and 0500 anyone tell me what these mean or if they are bad.

1693 is a companion code nothing to worry about 0500 is no vehicle speed sensor signal

01 6 sp cummins edge with attitude, intake, custom exhaust

Was that read with a scanner or key on/off thing?

P1693 cause by the P0500...

P0500 is cause from spining the tires... The ABS brakes monitor both the front and rear axles. But when your roasting the rear tires and the front axle isn't twisting the computer has a hard time understanding how can half a truck be going 50-60 MPH and the front axle is not moving...

on off thing,also i was pushing snow and i could have been in 2 wheel i use that in tight places instead of 4 wheel hopping

See... There is your answer... The 2WD was given you the steering but the rear tire were spinning... ABS computer just can't understand that...

Just clear the code and go on... But If you don't have a scanner it will clear on its own. It not a serious error nore will it effect your performance or anything...
