Default Tranny troubles?

I bought an 01 with a bad tranny at 74k since then i put another stock rebuilt tranz in and added the edge with attitude not to mention an intake plus all new 4" exhaust .I pull a 7x14 trailer every now and then and i admit i hotrod it a little bit but not much after all it is my work truck . But my question is are the upgrades too much for the tranz? Ive only put 50k since everything was done and im having some slippage not to mention i think the fluid is starting to burn. Not very happy to say the least.

if your fluid is starting to smell burnt then its about time for a new one bud. georends makes a pretty good tranny. there are some precautions with a auto if you dont want to spend 4+ grand on a tranny. if ya get another stock tranny u will have problems in the future, so to help out with the stock tranny a georends torque conveter and valve body will help out a stock tranny

As already mentioned, if you are going to do ANY performance mods, you need a triple disk converter and valve body as a bare minimum. To me, its a complete waste of money to rebuild it in stock form.
