Exclamation Source for good starter!!!!

Anyone know a good place I can find an affordable starter at? an Ebay link would b great! tks for input!

turbomar, whats wrong with your starter? The contact points are the weak link, they are cheap and really easy to install. I'd hate to see you spend a couple of hundred on a replacement if all you need is to replace the contacts. Let us know what the symptoms are for starters.

Agree with the above. Get some HD contacts and a plunger kit from Larry at Foster Truck and youll be good to go.

Correct rebuilt it! You'll save $$$ in the long run and have a starter that way better than any reman one!

Rebuilt mine 2 years ago works great and only took about 45 mins total! Got mine from fostertruck, well worth it!

I did the celenoid contacts bout a year ago. this time, tiz 2 of the 4 brushes that r worn out, I checked and they seem 2 b soldered on, right? did a temp fix and also noticed worn bushings. truck has 540000km and I think tiz the original starter and I just spotted a couple new starters ranging $100-$120 plus $20 shipping on Ebay. What do u think? tks 4 all the inputs guys, appreciate it!

I bought the vacuum repair kit,was as advertised.
He's got parts for the starters too,unless you are convinced you have to have a new one.
