Im looking at the 2 shift kits that transgo offers. The first one is just their diesel shift improver. They say that it is designed for a stock truck. The other one I am looking at is their heavy duty one. It is designed for racing or heavy pulling. I don't do too much pulling but do race the truck now and then. I would like a good firm shift around town but not hard enough to snap your neck at every shift. Any one have any experience with either?
The heavy duty kit- TFOD-HD2
The regular kit- TFOD DIESEL

 

justviper1- I'm having the same thoughts too, getting the shift kit. Hope someone on here has some info, i know it takes a lil time sometimes.

 

I would say a new valve body would be a good upgrade and they already have shift kits installed in them and work better... just my thoughts. I have a hts in mine and it shifts nice with my converter

 

Ive been there and done that..... get a Valve Body and never look back

 

So do all valve bodies have upgraded shift kits other then stock?
