Unhappy Gonna Cry

well I went to go use my truck today to pick up the kids from school, been using the car all week and saw that there was oil under truck. checked under and saw it had been comming from rear output seal from t-case, ok no big deal, got kids then went under to check out t-case level when we got home. got the plug almost all the way out and oil started leaking past threads but not the nice red atf4 but blackish. ****, got the allen wrench for the tranny, removed plug, insert finger, insert finger deeper well there's an oil film in the bottom. drop shafts, skid plate, drain blackish oil, pull t-case,more oil in void, check out seal, nice and brittle, shake output shaft and chech out bearing, put in new seal, put every thing back together, new oils, take for test drive, check oil levels, go in house ,double capt morgan spiced, and sit and wonder how long tranny has been out of oil and how much damage there is

What Tranny?

Dont Worry about it , You did the best you could

Worrying your self about things out of your control is the fast lane to depression. Get in your Truck and Thrash the hell out of it , if it breaks then it was weak if it dont then you have nothing to worry about any more

---AutoMerged DoublePost---

Dont go to an auto, you will truly miss your 5600. or if you want an auto truck, trade for one, theres a ton more autos than sticks out there

I look at things like that this way... When something like that goes, it is usually a good excuse to GO BIG!!!
ie: "But Honey, the tranny blew!!! I need a new one all together!!! I cannot help if the new one will cost $7500!!!!"
