Exclamation Injector Replacement Advice???

Hey fellows!

I'm planning on replacing my injectors. I recently received a set of stage 3 nozels. I recall seeing a thread on here about it but cant find it now. I tried the search to no avail. I recall someone mentioning that it is not just a matter of replacing the nozzles but that a preinjection pressure calibration is in order. I have access to an older bench injector test setup but I doubt that I can use that since this 24v engine uses a fuel tube on the side of the injector, right? Anyhow, can anyone post a link that explains the process clearly? tks in advance

My setup: Edge/juice power level 6, Banks Quick turbo, 4" down pipe, 5" dual stacks, Napa 2790 jumbo air filter

some guys just trow the nozzles on and have no issues at all, and some have had rough idle issues, me personally it is worth the extra 75.00 to have them pop tested by a professional, i put 150hp nozzles on mine and i only had one injector that was off by 30 psi, which they said might give a slight miss at idle but i wasn't taking any chances. Save yourself some time and have them done by a pro with the right equipment. Also find a set of used ones and put your nozzles on them, it will save you the down time. DD

I agree. I went through the whole bit with the nozzles, any my truck ran alright. But it just seemed to get worse and worse, and I lost mileage and everything like that. Then I went with some no name rv275s and got burned there too. I'm a very cheap person, and that doesn't cut it with hard parts like that. I would just get some full bodies, or at least get them pop tested.

The pop pressure needs to be in spec...4250psi +or- 250psi. I set mine 4500psi with my Nozzlerator pop tester w/correct ISB injector adapter.
I used most of the info in the following link except:
I didn't remove the fuel tubes or replace the o-rings.
After dropping in the injectors fairly aligned, I tightened the injector fittings hand tight, snugged the injector hold down clamps, snugged the injector fittings then torqued the injector hold down clamps to be very sure the fuel tubes were correctly aligned with the injector bodies THEN loosened the injector fittings to prime the system after re-installing the valve cover and injector line holders.
After doing the starter bump to get The Free 25 Second Lift Pump Run, I cranked the engine for 10 seconds with the throttle on the floor then tightened any wet fuel injector fittings. I repeated the 10 second full throttle cranks/tighten the wet injector fittings until the engine kicked, trying to start then I tightened the remaining loose fittings and started the engine.
A 19mm crows foot wrench will let you use your torque wrench to torque the injector fittings.
