Default '99 4x4 - Stress cracks in front rotors??

In looking at my front rotors I noticed what look like lots of tiny little hair line cracks about 1/4 long spread out over the rotors.. are these stress cracks from overheating etc.?? If so is it a known problem with our trucks? I got the truck used at about 70k.

Thanks, Mike.

They've gotten really hot. Mine don't have any but I don't tow anything. I'd seriously look at replacing them. Maybe even try some slotted rotors. Stay away from the cross-drilled rotors though. They have a tendency to crack between the holes.

keep an eye on em but i think you should be fine, its just heat stress. all the big rig drums pretty much have em. its just a fact of brakes. if you feel you need go ahead and buy new rotors. but i think you will be fine.
