What brand FPG did you install, And what brand LP did you install. If you installed a quality FPG and installed it properly it should read correctly. You also said that you installed an in-line pump, what brand and where did you install this new pump? Sounds like you may have damaged your vp44. Good luck friend.

I suggest that you remove the Glow Shift fuel pressure gauge and throw it in the trash because they are not good quality gauges but they are inexpensive. I buy Autometer, some folks but Isspro they are both top quality gauges. also The Mr. Gasket pump is as you said a seven pound pump at best. These Cummins require at least eighteen pounds +=fuel pressure to lube the vp44 fuel injector pump. Go to the AutoMeter and Isspro web sites and see what they have, but before you buy check with us for guidance, Good luck

I understand what you did and why. The problem was not solved and you ask for help. There are many supporters of Diesel Bombers that sell quality parts you need, one is Geno's Garage. If you go there you will find what you need with complete directions for a proper installation. Good Luck

If your truck has the Lift Pump on the engine block you do not want a pump in the fuel tank. Just replace the Lift Pump with a quality replacement LP, I replaced my LP five years ago with an OME LP which did not last so I installed a FASS DDRP from Geno's Garage., five years later it is still pumping strong with eighteen to twenty pounds of FP at wot, twenty-two at idle which is more than adequate to keep the vp44 happy.

Did you remove the fuel pump that you installed? If not, Install the FASS Lift Pump, it can only help you then you know you have an ample fuel supply. After you have done that, loosen the fuel lines I believe number one and three, then turn on the ignition key, you should hear the Lift Pump pumping, when the Lift Pump stops pumping you may have to waite a few minutes then repeat, after the second cycle go to start and when you see Diesel Fuel squirting out from the loose Fuel Lines, tighten them till the Fuel stops squirting out. If that does not get you on your way, I can't help you. Good Luck
