The heater/AC defrost door is vacuum operated.
The blend air door (hot to cold) is electric If you have cold air coming out of the defrost vent I would say either the arm came off the door or a vacuum line or switch is loose or broken.
which trans do you have 47RE? I don't believe the two are related.
