I just bought a 98.5 24v I was wondering is it normal for them to smoke when there stock.

 

They will a little bit but not the black coal like you get from a programer and injectors. It may have a programer on it if you see a wire tapped to the harness at the VP injection pump wiring harness. welcome to the world of Cummins

its bone stock as far as I know. it smokes black but not much
