Default Edge Comp Box

So edge's website says its mild to wild. Having a stock transmission...Would you run this box or find a different tuner? Just purchased this off a guy in Iowa should be here in a couple days.

I would definitely keep that box! IMO, the Edge Comp is the best fueling box for a VP44 Cummins. Until you have a stronger transmission, I suggest you don't tap the pump. Hook everything else up, and run it that way. Should still give you about 60HP.

exactly. but reading your sig make sure you remove the superchip off the truck or you will have timing issues... also get a better lift pump than the ddrp or you will be in trouble with your vp

Alright so how would you hook this up without tapping the Ppump. Williams I took the hotrod off and put a regular VP44 on it, and yeah sold the damn superchips flashpaq tuner and picked up the comp box.. Im not looking to hotrod the truck, just the occasional oh its a diesel blow some smoke..(and to have that little gitty up! )

Oh and I paid 250 for the comp box...

That's a decent price for that powerful box.

You just hook the Comp up to your MAP sensor and Data Link. I did this on mine w/stock transmission, stacked with smarty on lvl 2 and my transmission wanted none of it. If you dont try to smoke out every stop sign around, you should be able to keep your tranny together on the lower settings. Do a search on here for Edge Comp Box and you will find a post i believe by: RAWilliams that describes how the power levels and the sub levels work.

P.S. RAW, you are a 24v genius

you dont want to add timing with the smarty when stacked, let the Comp handle the timing
