I have not yet looked at this issue because of school and work. Last night I was out looking for deer. Put my truck in second from almost a complete stop and it didn't go. Then I 're shifted and found second fine. Every other gear is fine but I have a lot of play in 1st and 2nd. The weird part for me is that there's only play towards the driver side. There isn't any unusual play to the passenger side. It still runs fine. When I got home I was going to look at it but I put my truck on second gear and it was back to normal! Any information would be greatly appreciated because I have to guide a hunt tomorrow.

When you were trying to put it in gear did it make grinding noises? Could be sencro's. Or linkage issues.
