It has a vp44. When I bought the truck a year and a half ago I was told it had been replaced with a new one. When I noticed this I even upgraded my exhaust to a straight pipe 4.5"

If you are running on a stock OEM style lift pump it is going to have trouble keeping up with the edge. Once your lift pump goes out then your VP starts to get strained till it just gives up and you are stranded. Time line to get from point A to point B dont know. Mine currently is stock on the lift pump, I am ordering a FASS titanium 150 lift pump this week just so I can have a better piece of mind about the VP44.
