I've got a 99 3500 that's acting a fool... recently I drove the truck from work to home without an issue. Shut the truck off and run inside for 15 mins. Come back out to start the truck and it fires then the headlights flash and it dies. After shutting off and pulling the keys the like continue to flash for approx 2 minutes. Try and start the same thing happens. I leave the truck sit for about an hour, walk out and it fires up no problem. This has happened twice. The first time I replaced the batteries and made it lil over a week before it happened again. Does this sound like an alternator problem or has anyone else experienced this? If so what was the problem?

 

I would say altanator or ingnition switch

 

I believe its the factory alarm. If your lights are flashing get out and unlock the door with your key twice. Should disable it.
