Default High Fuel Pressure?

Hey guys i have a 99 Dually with a 5spd and it had a Quadzilla installed already when I got it. I am concerned with the fuel pressure reading on the quad as it normally shows 30+ for fuel pressure readings. Is it likely that it is incorrect or what would cuase the high readings? I have considered putting a true mechanical guage on it but up to this point have not driven it much so have put it off. What are all of your thoughts on this?

I believe it is the stock one I haven't touched it since I got the truck. I have already read there is no plausible way for this pump to make that kind of pressure. So whats the culprit?

From what he told me when I got the truck he had it installed and it was a quad from a 2001. If that makes any difference IDK. I want to buy a manual guage and hook it up and also upgrade to a raptor lift pump but am waiting until spring for the weather to improve to work on it. I don't do any hot rodding with it with the exception of a couple of pulls during the summer and then pull a goose neck with various loads throughout the summer.

Yea not sure if that would matter but it would be wise to do a gauge

definitely do the gauge to get a true reading. May consider swapping out the quad with an edge or smarty. I am pretty sure quad has went out of business. and a fass or etc lift pump is also a must on these trucks if you want the VP to last.
