Well i really dont think its going to be faulty since you swaped with timbo but 9 years on a vp pump is pretty dang good im wondering how long and what setting do you run your comp on im almost pointing to a vp pump especialy if it was just a standard rebuilt pump meaning that the pump probably didnt have the steel sleave installed for the piston to slide aginst and who knows what computer they put on if its the pump i would run it until she goes but its scary cause you never know when she will go boom i just spent 1300$ on a bluechip vp this morning cause mine finaly went boom

Well it all has to do with when and where the pump.would have finaly wore out meaning if the pump spends most of its time around 1700-2000 rpm witch is most trucks it would wear out more quickly in the spot in the pump that could be the reason you dont notice it when pushing it there are vp diagrams that i will look for to show you what i mean and also my pump didnt throw any codes until about a monh ago and i got ...the....po216

I have a 99 24 valve, was always a 12v guy and now beginning to remember why. the batteries died yesterday so I jumped it and was letting it idle to charge up I went in house for 10 min came back out and it shut down and wouldn't restart . changed fuel filter it started seemed like it was fine. then started to shutter and it has 8 codes on reader any ideas anyone. can provide codes if it helps
