Frozen lines????? Help please

If you bump the key you will hear the pump it's pretty loud it's a whining sound I bet if you searched YouTube there's someone on there who has shown how to bump a starter and listen for the lift pump

the stock pump was on the side of the block unless the dealer put it in the tank .

If its a stock truck its either in two spots, right behind the fuel filter housing or in the tank. If you just have a fuel line coming to your filter housing then its most likely in the tank. To test that I have bumped the key and put my ear to the tank fill hole to try and hear it.

Yeah theirs a line in the back of the housing so yeah probably in the tank. And no it's not a stock truck theirs hardly anything not upgraded on this truck and it's starting to bite back haha. But I'll have to look again today when I get off for it to be behind the housing. Any tips for gettin the pump out if it's inside the tank? Or better to just take some where??

Depends on your capabilities you should be able to hear the pump even if it's in the tank

Is there a drain anywhere to get the diesel outta the tank?

With the top of the filter housing off you can turn the key on without bumping the starter and it should pump fuel. Sounds like your pump gave up the ghost on you. I have a Fass 95 gph on my 02. Good pump. Plus if you buy it new send in the registration to fass and it's covered for life. And you always know if your pumps running when you got a fass. You can hear it running when you turn the key on before cranking.

I figured it out earlier one of the wires connected to the sensor got ripped out of some connector going to the side of the block I put it back in and heat shrieked it and it definitely works I checked my housing and it was full of diesel and you can definitely hear it it doesn't sound a good at all it makes a horrible noise. But the truck still doesn't crank? Dry lines? Or what?

I got it to start but for future reference how would I? Turn the key until fuel fills the housing?
