HO vs SO:
HOVP44 fuel plungers 7.0mm
SOVP44 fuel plungers 7.5mm
injector size
HO: 7x.0071
SO: 7x.0075
RV275: 7x.0079
turbo: identical unless 01-02 automatic trans, then hy35 instead of hx35
Compression
HO: 17.2:1
SO: 16.3:1
there are your major differences...
the compression is higher on the HO, but the injectors are smaller, and the injection pump can't push as much fuel. that is why the SO more easily makes power than the HO motor...
