hi guys I got a 02 2500 4x4 with 118,000. i bought the truck last January under the impression that most dodges should have come with lockers or limited slip but apparently mine doesn't have it. i do use the truck for towing 10,000lb once in a while and go off-roading once in a while also.

i should have a dana 70 rearend?
how do i know if i have the 32 or 35 spline? can i tell without having to pull the cover off? if i don't have to it would be great cause the truck is my daily driver.
what is a good brand to get all that power to the road? Detroit locker?

 

I tried a Lock right and it died immediately. My is also a 02 but I have the 80. I would say go with the detroit LSD. It is a mechanical limited slip, no special gear oil additive does not wear like a clutch pack. It gives in the corners for tight turns without binding but when applying power it is smooth to engage and locks up well. I wish I would have done this when I first got the truck. Spendy but worth it.
