Default Need help priming

So just changed my fuel filter and can't get my truck primed to where it'll start. How can I get it primed enough to start? I've even dumped fuel in filter in hopes of it startin but just cranks. I need help asap

did you crack the lines going to the injectors and bump the ignition. also see if your lift pump is working as well

Maybe for future reference: I drain and save the fuel from the filter housing. After reinstalling the filter housing with the new filter, I pour the fuel back into the top through one of the ports. Never had a problem starting my truck when changing the filter this way.
