I have a 1999 2500 w/110k miles and the transmisson keeps shifting on a slight grade at slower speeds. The shop is changing the fluid and filter, he scanned the xmission and found no codes. Should I install the APPS noise isolator from DB???? does any one have a thoughts on this problem....

 

when my stock tranny started doing that with around 130k it was the governor pressure silenoid changed it out and was good to go.... ive since toasted that tranny though....

 

Is the trans shifting between gears or is the torque converter jumping between locked and unlocked? The TQ hunting issue is well documented and what I believe those noise isolators are for. They take out the AC noise that a potentially bad alternator sends though the electronics.

 

I had the same issue with my 47re, if you go on ats's website, they have detailed instructions for a rewire, took me about 15 minutes, problem solved, shifts super smooth now. Just an idear.
