Ive had HID's in my truck for over a year now and no problems till about two weeks ago. Basically, no matter when I turn on my headlights the radio screen resets and just keeps searching for my ipod... I took the fuse out of my HID's and then it quit turning it off. I had a extra set of ballasts and they still do the same thing... But if I turn my headlights on right when I start the truck everything is fine. I'm at a loss and hope someone can help me. Thanks ahead of time!

 

its the ballast that is interfering with the radio. My Dad has HID's in his 2011 and his tire pressure moniors will lose signal for a bit when his lights turn on. Never really heard of a fix yet

 

Is there a relay for your HID's? Maybe the amp draw is messing with the radio.

 

Headlight ground and radio ground are on the same wire right at the driver side kick panel.

 

for everyone's sake on the road just take them out and get a relay harness and good bulbs because I have not seen a 2nd gen on the road with hids that have not blinded the crap out of me, there is a good reason why they are illegal

 

Yea I have my relay in for my HID headlights but my brights are always on and my EJWA shuts off every time I turn em on
