I've been thinking about getting a new intake manifold for my truck. Just curious as to what you guys think is the best one on the market...I'm trying to keep it under 500 though if thats possible.

 

There are some good ones out there.afe,banks cfm,ect. you just gotta look.
or you can do a vendor price request and see what they can do.

 

I would spend 500 somewhere else first. The gains aren't worth it.

 

The intake horn upgrade is more dress-up than performance adder. I put a S&B full machined horn on, and haven't noticed any difference. I haven't pulled my trailer around though, so it may show a difference there. You should be able to et into most intake horns for under $500.

 

I put an AFE on mine in the fall, I noticed a difference in sound when you give it quite a bit. Other than that, not much difference from my experience.
