I'm got a 01 cummins every thing stock but I just got an afe wastegate set for 40 psi.. Will it hurt anything to put it on a stock truck?

 

On a stock truck anything after 35psi is usless. If 40 psi was possible

 

you can put it on there, but with stock fuel you wont be anywhere close to 40, stock VP44 trucks make about 20-24psi max

 

I just got a super chip and goin to get a boost fooler.. Do y'all know if it will change the sound of the exhaust?

 

It might a little but it wont be very noticeable. Put a bhaf filter on it. Even with a boost fooler 40 psi isnt doing anything for you unless you have way more fuel going in. Plus its not really good to be hitting that with the stock holset.

 

So what do you think I need to set the wastegate for?

 

Whats your trucks specs? We need to know if you have an hy35 or hx35

Well if your fueling can push it that far then 32-35 is about max.
