Default EGT are not normal

well im still having prpblems with my truck starting. but today i notice my EGT are way to hot for the speed im driveing. like 800-900 at 55-60mph then when i get on it, it will go up to 1200 quick. i notice my collant tenp was a lil hot but it was 60 out today and i have cardboard infront of the radioator. took it out and still a lil warm. i was thinking head gasket. so i stopped into my friends shop and he tested the collant for exshaust fuems and it was possitive. so im thinking head gasket. but would it cause my EGT to b that hot. so normaly they are 500is when im running 55 60. also would a bad head gasket cause a hard start??

Im thinking you may have an injector problem. You may have one or more injectors dumping fuel causing your heating issues. THat may have contributed to the HG problem.
An injector dumping too much fuel will cause that cylinder to run hotter. Too hot will cause the HG to fail in that area.
