2000 dodge cummins 4x4 tranny rebuild cost?
Hey guys im buying a 2000 dodge cummins 4x4 2500 with 300,000 miles theyre asking 3800.iv got a feeling for the price it might need a auto tranny. if i took it somewhere to be rebuilt what do you think it would cost me ? i will probably never have more than 400hp and idk about the torque. And where are some good Transmission shops you guys know of ? i live in ohio but would drive out of state.
how bad is it to rebuild one? i am very inexperienced with transmissions. here is a link to some rebuild kits Diesel Performance Parts & Products | Alligator Performance
I was wondering what you guys thought of these kits and wondering if i could rebuild one? and how much would a shop charge to install one of these kits with labor only?

Depends on what you have/want done to your trans. definitively need a torque converter. Spend the money and get a good converter. Not a stock replacement. My local, very reputable trans shop here quoted me 2500 for a good rebuild and with a single disc converter.
