Battery/alternator problem
I tried to start my Dodge/Cummins it was dead so I installed two new batterys and all was well. Two days later the amp guage showed a discharge. I figgured with 200K the Alternator was shot so I had it replaced with the proper oem unit. Everything was working as it should. One week later I fired up the truck with no problems ecept it showed a discharge. I'm stumped and need some help. Thank you in advance.

RA. I did not mess with the truck, just went on Thanksgiving Vacation with my family. This morning Sunday 11-25 12. Bumped the ignition switch and It was dead. Could the fuel heater not disconnect and ran my battrey's down? I am kind of puzzled. It is a good thing that I don't have to go to work every morning.

Yep, could be a fuel heater relay could be stuck. You could pull the relay and see what happens.
If you go to boost it, DON'T turn the key on. See if you can hear or feel anything running. If ta grid heater relay is stuck, the intake horn and heater area will start to warm up. Same with the fuel heater, the fuel bowl will warm slightly. If you re handy with a multi meter, check for power at the grid heater cables as well.
