Confused on why you would quote me? Truck mileage its not uncommon for items such as oil pans to get loose and begin to seep. First its a tone ring and what does that have to do with an oil leak?

To the OP, the best way to find a leak is to degrease the bottom very well and then take it for a spin. I have done this on a couple of test drives, just have a friend distract while you slide under the truck with a rag.

 

i quoted you saying yes things rattle loose like my toner ring bolts did and fell out thats inside the oil pan its located on the crank.
