Star right below bein smart

Ight guys I bought a 2000 dodge cummins five speed four wheel drive sweet truck when I.got it it had 150 horse injectors and an edge ez chip shortly after gettin it a tooth broke off third gear then the injector pump took a dump so tranny got sent to get a makeover with all performance parts and I bought a 200 horse injector pump my questions are I cant afford a lift pump because I am soon to be married and im over budget so would I be ok for awhilerunnin stock lift pump? And what lift pump would be best when I can get one? Any help would be greatly appreciated yall take care and god bless

If you want to purchase another NEW IP then sure skip out on the LP for now. I don't recommend it whatsoever but the choice is yours.

An LP should have been your first purchase right after you signed the paperwork on the pickup. These trucks cannot survive long on a stock LP.

Well I dont know much bput 24 valves ive always owned twelve valves this all a new language to me like I said right below bein smart hahaha

At the absolute minimum, put a fuel pressure gauge in. You can gamble and not put a proper LP in, but make sure you watch the pressure. If the pressure gets below 10psi, then pull up your right foot.

I was talkin bout dead grandpa drivin just so I can get outta drivin the work truck everyday and there is no lead in this foot

Even then, it's a chance. The VP44 uses fuel for cooling its electronics. If there isn't enough flow, it won't get cooled properly and WILL fail. A gauge, even temporary to find out, is a must.

you can make a holley blue pump work for a while it's around 100 for that. you can also find used pumps now and then for sale. but a stock truck grandpa driven dies just the same because lack of fuel pressure kills them so it could be at an idle
