If you want to purchase another NEW IP then sure skip out on the LP for now. I don't recommend it whatsoever but the choice is yours. :humm:
An LP should have been your first purchase right after you signed the paperwork on the pickup. These trucks cannot survive long on a stock LP. |
Well I dont know much bput 24 valves ive always owned twelve valves this all a new language to me like I said right below bein smart hahaha

At the absolute minimum, put a fuel pressure gauge in. You can gamble and not put a proper LP in, but make sure you watch the pressure. If the pressure gets below 10psi, then pull up your right foot.

I was talkin bout dead :edit: grandpa drivin just so I can get outta drivin the work truck everyday and there is no lead in this foot
|
Even then, it's a chance. The VP44 uses fuel for cooling its electronics. If there isn't enough flow, it won't get cooled properly and WILL fail. A gauge, even temporary to find out, is a must.

you can make a holley blue pump work for a while it's around 100 for that. you can also find used pumps now and then for sale. but a stock truck grandpa driven dies just the same because lack of fuel pressure kills them so it could be at an idle
