Default 99 cummins stalling when stop

Im getting a 99 cummins today and it stalls when i stop. It has a raptor lift pump and he says it has a new bosch injection pump also. He says the crank sensor is causing this. It drives fine and will sit there and idle. What would cause it to die when i am coming to a stop? We wired the lift pump where it runs constantly but still dies. After it dies it has to started with ether. If it is sitting there idleing i can turn it off and it will fire right back up.

If you had to use ether to start it ya you can have a bad Cranksensor, but do you have an Auto or manual, if you have an auto maybe you TC not unlocking?

Its an auto. It still does it if you put the truck in neutral when your coming to a stop.

Do you notice what your tachnometer says when you come to a stop, does it just drop before it stops. And does it jump or act abnormal

I know of a person that had this problem and it was a plugged muffler. They straight piped it and problem solved.

The previous owner pulled the fuel sender out and shoved rubber lines down in it and it was sucking air
