Factory transmission, or mild build, you will only have about 100psi max in the lines. A weel built will have up to 300psi in certain situations. You could cut the bad piece out, add rubber hose, and use at least 2 hose clamps per end.

Ideally you would want to splice the line with metal lines

Did you find a cracked line, is that why you are thinking of splicing?

You can get hydraulic soft line to replace the metal ones. I am sure you can even put those male fittings on it too.

My entire hose system for my trans cooling is 5/8" hydraulic hose with JIC ends. It is excessive, but it was readily available to me.

Or u can use hydraulic line like stated. But just using rubber line and hose clamps, I'm not a fan of that

As non-ideal as it is, it is the way the factory cooler is connected to the system.
