Ya, the Slobber Can can make a huge mess.

Behind the ECM is the lifter cover.

The truck has 170,000. I bought it with 135,000. Would it be worth it to do an overhead adjustment on the truck.

Overhead adjustment? Are you refering to a valve adjustment?

Adjust the valve lash, is that what you mean? If so, it won't hurt. You probably won't find them out by much.

Yeah. I figured as much. My findings are that a little makes a big difference. Maybe not power wise but idle and response will be greatly improved. I'm just thinkingif I take the rocker cover off and I'm there already. So is there a rocker cover and valve cover.

There is a rocker arm cover, that is on top of everything. On the side of the engine, behind the ECM, is the lifter cover.

That makes sense. I was clearly confused with the lifter cover. Work on big motors. This is my first little dodge. How big of a pain is it to get to the lifter cover?

I've never done it before, but have have heard it isn't a good time. ECM comes off, and I believe the Injection pump as well.
