SURGING AFTER INJECTOR CHANGE, PLEASE HELP!!!!!
#11
Thanks for all the reply guys!! When i pulled the old injectors out.... i double checked every injector to make sure the old copper washer was on the injector. Like wise with the new ones going back in. Also i installed new o-rings on the connecting tubes. I would assume i made a good seal with the new ones because they snaped down like they should and the injector hold downs went on straight and seated right. If it didn't seat right because the new washers.. then the wrong ones wwere sent with the injectors.
It smokes a little bit more, but i figured that would be normal for the 75hp upgrade. The truck runs great at steady throttle and full throttle. It only surges when you let off and push the clutch in.
I bought the VP44 from thorough bred diesel....it was a direct replacement.
I'm beinning to think it has something to do with the internal of a injector. DB tech told me that on startup some compression could have made its way up the injector and causing it to hang up. They are sending me a additive to loosen it up...if thats the case.
