fuel pressure
hey guys. my trucks fuel pressure is 11 or 12 at idle and at wot it drops down to 6. now i have been told that it doesnt start really killing the pump untill it drops under 5. is the true and am i ok with what my fuel pressure is at or do i need a new lift pump?
You need to have a good aftermarket LP to keep your IP happy, stock ones just can't keep up. Even just a simple raptor is going to extend the life of your IP tremendously.
I personally think 10 psi is plenty considering your overflow valve opens up at 14 psi. But Shayne is correct on your need of a good LP.
