Default stupid dash cracking out

iv had my dodge about a year now and the dash was in perfect shape so i figured i would take the neccesary precautions and try to prevent it i put a dash cover on and armorall it about once a month and only use a light cloth or feather duster it stays out of direct sunlight and always is parked under a carport well today i took the cover off and there was about a 6in crack on the passenger side right along the vent is the cracking out inevitable or what any ideas

you could try mothers back to black on the dash. ive only used it on my exterior trim pieces. seems like it wouldnt dry the plastic out like armor all does.

mine cracked there nothing ou could have done about it. the plastic is thinner there so when the air bg goes off it will give way... just my two cents i think it was a bad design

Had my truck for 8 years. Dash is still good (knock on wood). I leave my dash cover on it and only clean every now and then with water and paper towels.

I am in the same boat as you Virgil. I use amoral cleaning wipes but never the protecting ones. It looks good for a day or two then the dirt magnet turns on if you use the ones with oil in/on them....
