tune the smoke out with the AFC thats what its for and an injector will only put as much fuel out as the pump is putting out as long as the injector isnt a restriction. if the pump flows 350cc then its 350cc thru a 5x18 or its still 350cc thru a 5x25 all that happens is the injection event becomes shorter because the injector can empty the plunger quicker which will make better power. IMO i would run 5x16 or 5x18 injectors as 5x14s are still smaller then the injection lines.

never said anything about 6 hole injectors but if any injector is spraying the cylinder wall then you got other problems. i know for a fact that guys make decent power from VE trucks with 6 hole injectors

good info here, thanks for the input, so you feel 5x16s wouldnt be too smokey? my buddy has a 95 p pump w 4ks a manual fuel rack advanced timing and a 66mm charger and he runs 5X14s and that thing is extreamly smokey untill the turbo lights once it does it cleans up all the smoke but it gets real hot real quick

manual fuel rack?!?

advanced timing and a 66mm charger isnt going to spool fast

i'd bet its a 66/74/14 charger and that his AFC isnt tuned right for the charger

again tho like i was saying the injectors will only put out the amout of fuel that the pump is set to put out. his pump may be set for 450cc if so he's putting more fuel thru the injectors then your VE pump. even then his injectors are holding his pump back some.

yes i would run 5x16s or 5x18s

in my 13mm ppumped 24v i run 6x18 injectors with .084 lines....see how my injectors are not the restriction. also i am going to go to .093 lines because the pump and tubes are .093 i just havnt swapped the lines yet since i went to a 13mm because i plan to bend my own because of going to a runner intake and john deere holders.

very true unless its a 14mm version. larger lines even on a ppump are a waste unless its a 13mm pump.
