My hoodstack sticks up exactly 11 3/4 inches above the hoodline. My truck is white, and I have yet to see any soot on my windshield or top of the cab. I used to use a coffee can to cap off the stack, but that got really old, so I built a flapper to keep out the rain and snow out of the turbo.

Hey, I appreciate the condescending reply! Maybe you shouldn't worry about what everyone else does with THEIR own vehicles.

I'm just stating my experience......maybe I just kinda grew up and said "I'm going to do what I want to do with my truck."

Threads called "hood stack opinion" so why did you get a stupid attitude with a guy for giving his opinion on what he didn't like about his hood stack. You just seem like your trying to make yourself feel cool on your keyboard or something, or maybe you just need to grow up yourself?

How about you have the exhaust exit from a "tailpipe" instead of doing the trendy stack? In a couple years someone like me will have to reverse all the gross "mods" so could you do me a favor and not cut up your hood and bed for an exhaust pipe? Please? I mean you lose bed space with a stack and you look like a dork with a hood stack so why?

Stick with a tailpipe.

maybe i should have said options.not opinions, just to cut down disagreements. But anyways, I already have a stack in the bed. I will be running the hood stack soon,6" with a flap. I will pull/race the truck some. Dont plan to make the 900 hp a ppump will. I aim for 400 or so in the end.I understand the reasons yall dont like them. But i do so i am gonna do it. within about a month i will be putting all the stuff toghether and completing my build on the truck. I will post pics. And about a month after that i will be getting it painted and will also post pics of that.

Im not worried about a ticket. Im getting a spare hood and leaving the hole in my bed so if i get one all i have to do is swap out hood and exhaust and get it passed..

thank you guys who support me and thank those of you who dont. Around here, were fueled by haters.
